Noem and the DHS Have One Funny, Parting Shot on Their 'South Park' Portrayal

You have to hand it to the Trump team – they certainly are flipping the script and making the most of their depiction on “South Park” this week in an episode that focused on ICE.

The show wasn’t funny, as I reported:

The episode revolved around guidance counselor Mr. Mackey’s decision to join ICE to make money after being fired from South Park Elementary, and it portrayed ICE as having no hiring standards and just wanting to go after brown people, even if they had to chase the nice brown people down in heaven. They even have a line, “If you’re brown, you’re going down,” from DHS head Kristi Noem. Mackey then gets a trip to Mar-a-Lago, which “South Park” envisions as a house of debauchery. My description is funnier than the show. Unfortunately, this kind of stuff isn’t going to help them stay relevant after 27 years.

But Vice President JD Vance had a little fun in his response to his depiction as “Tattoo” from “Fantasy Island.”

The way the DHS was handling the show is good–turn it around on them, with humor, but with the greater point also putting a little more of the truth out there. No, it isn’t about taking down the “brown people” – it’s about enforcing the law to protect the American people.

ICE agents are the good guys in this drama, not the leftists who would demonize or attack them.
