() A yacht-sized passenger boat ran aground in the high surf off a Hawaii beach over the weekend before drifting into a jetty point.

According to affiliate KHON, the incident occurred Saturday morning near Honolulu’s Kewalo Basin Harbor. The U.S. Coast Guard said the Discovery, a 75-foot passenger vessel that operates as a shuttle for Atlantis Adventures, had two crew members on board at the time.

Video footage posted on Facebook shows the boat nearly flipping onto its side as it began to drift.

Its operator said two large waves disrupted his course and that he lost propulsion once the vessel went aground. In a statement, the Coast Guard said there were no mechanical issues with the Discovery before it ran aground and that the cause is under investigation.

Atlantis Adventures, which owns the Discovery, said that the two crew members aboard were not injured.

“We are working closely with all government regulatory agencies to have the shuttle boat safely removed from where it was grounded, towed back to its pier location and thoroughly inspected before it is returned to service,” Atlantis Adventures said.
