Teen Mom alum Kailyn Lowry is preparing to go back under the knife.
“I’m getting my neck chopped off in two weeks so I’m, like, sort of waiting to get Botox until after that,” Lowry, 33, said on the Tuesday, August 12, episode of iHeartRadio’s “Coffee Convos” podcast.
Lowry explained that her tattoo “might move” where it is no longer visible as a result of the upcoming procedure.
“I don’t know what I’m going to do about that,” she added. “But I’m really excited to have a snatched jawline. What’s weird [is] when I sit up straight, I don’t really have a double chin, right. But it’s the angles that I always have a double chin. Sometimes I have three.”
Lowry shared that the surgery would remove her double chin “completely,” though she did admit that there is “probably always a risk” that it could return.
“There’s a chance I could need another one in 20 years,” she said, per her doctor. “Hopefully in 20 years I’ll be taking a dirt nap anyway, so.”
Lowry has been candid about her plastic surgery procedures through the years. In December 2024, Lowry shared she was taking time to heal after undergoing a breast reduction surgery. The following month, Lowry updated her fans after undergoing a tummy tuck revision.
“We’re 5 days post-op,” she shared in a TikTok clip at the time. “I’m trying to taper down on pain meds, don’t want to get addicted. I’m severely uncomfortable. [Lowry’s friend] Sterling [Black]’s about to help me take a shower and then I’m going to do lymphatic massage. But I am getting around, it’s just a little uncomfortable.”
Lowry clarified that she “did not do a butt transfer or a BBL or anything like that.”
“But because we did a tummy tuck revision to combine my C-section scar with it, I have severe bruising in my butt cheek,” she explained. “And no matter what surgery you get, make sure you take laxatives or Miralax or whatever else.”
Earlier this year, Lowry opened up about struggling with her mental health and body dysmorphia.
“I pray that my kids never struggle with their body images enough to mutilate their bodies to be skinny,” she said in an Instagram video. “I think a little nip and tuck in terms of a nose job or a boob job is OK but to go through this to be skinny is [a] mental illness, truly. And I say that with the most respect to anyone going through it.”
She continued, “Not just my daughter, my sons too, I don’t want them to experience this level of body dysmorphia. Like, I was basically willing to go to any length and do this over Christmas break to be skinny — even if that meant Elijah couldn’t be there for me. Even if that meant I was in another state for Christmas. I was willing to go to any freaking length for it.”
Lowry shares son Issac, 15, with Jo Rivera, son Lincoln, 11, with Javi Marroquin and sons Lux, 8, and Creed, 5, with Chris Lopez. Lowry and Elijah Scott welcomed son Rio in 2022 and announced the birth of twins Verse and Valley in 2024.
