Police in New York are searching for Sandra Hall, a legendary singer with the hit group, The Platters, who vanished in Brooklyn.

According to The New York Post, the 80-year-old got on a subway Friday at “Atlantic Avenue near the Barclays Center and Atlantic Terminal Mall.” She disappeared a little after 4 p.m. that day.

Hall had been with her niece, who’s also her caregiver, when the pair got separated, according to Hall’s family. Hall then boarded an uptown 2 train and never returned.

“She just hopped on, and by the time my niece, her caretaker, was able to get her bearings, the train had already gone,”  her daughter, Star DaSilva, said, according to CBS News.

Family members reportedly said Brown has dementia, which causes her to become disoriented and confused.

NBC New York reports that Hall is described as standing 5 feet, 3 inches tall and was last seen in a pink shirt worn over a long-sleeved white shirt. She also had on white shoes and gray pants.

“We don’t know where she’s been sleeping, what she’s been eating,” DaSilva added. “I’m very concerned.”

“I just hope that if anyone sees her picture or if anyone just recognizes her, to be a good Samaritan and contact police. She’s loved and we’re very worried for her.”

Anyone with information on Hall’s whereabouts is urged to contact the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS, or submit a tip at the CrimeStoppers website.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
