Nope. According to The Hollywood Reporter, this week’s hiatus was planned. In July, South Park’s season premiere was delayed due to an ongoing dispute between Paramount and Trey Parker and Matt Stone over the show’s streaming rights, and Episode 2 was also pushed back a week.

Comedy Central is celebrating “South Park Day” on August 13 by airing a marathon of fan-favorite episodes leading up to the show’s pilot episode (“Cartman Gets an Anal Probe”) at 10:00 p.m. ET. Per THR, the marathon includes interviews with Parker and Stone, behind-the-scenes footage, and rare clips.

South Park Season 27, Episode 3 Release Date:

The third episode of the new season is expected to debut Wednesday, August 20 on Comedy Central and Thursday, August 21 on Paramount+.
