A 19-year-old tragically lost his life after being stabbed on Thursday evening in Queens. Authorities discovered him bleeding and unresponsive on the rooftop of a home in Flushing, officials and sources indicated.
The police were alerted to an assault incident around 6:15 p.m. near a residence situated between 35th and 37th avenues on 93rd street. They found Jayson Fernandez, aged 19, suffering from stab wounds in his abdomen, as reported by the police.

The teen victim got into a fight with a male attacker wearing a hood before he was knifed, law enforcement sources said.
Fernandez then climbed up to the roof of a garage on the property after he was stabbed, the sources added.
He was collapsed on the roof of the structure when cops found him, according to the sources.
Fernandez was rushed to Elmhurt Hospital in critical condition and was later pronounced dead, according to police.

The location of the stabbing is a well-known drug hotspot, and according to sources, the young man was believed to be associated with the Trinitarios — a Dominican American gang that originated in the city.
No arrests have been made yet, according to cops.
It is not yet clear if the property where the stabbing took place belonged to the victim or the stabber.
The incident remains under investigation.
