TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Krispy Kreme’s bringing your favorite Hogwarts houses to life with a new “Harry Potter”-inspired doughnut collection. Starting August 18, fans of the magical series can head to participating Krispy Kreme stores nationwide to get a load of the five doughnut varieties.

But we know what you’re thinking: There were only four Hogwarts houses (Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw), so how are there five doughnuts? Well, it turns out the series’ talking Sorting Hat — which assigns students to houses at the fictional wizarding school — also got its very own doughnut.

Krispy Kreme’s “Harry Potter” doughnuts are:

  • Gryffindor Doughnut – an unglazed shell doughnut filled with cookie butter flavored Kreme, dipped in red icing and Biscoff cookie crumble, topped with golden icing drizzles and the Gryffindor crest
  • Slytherin Doughnut – an Original Glazed® doughnut topped with chocolate and green buttercreme flavored swirls, chocolate cookie sugar blend, and the Slytherin crest
  • Hufflepuff Doughnut – an unglazed shell doughnut filled with brown butter toffee flavored custard, dipped in golden yellow icing, and topped with black chocolate drizzle, cookie crunch, and the Hufflepuff crest
  • Ravenclaw Doughnut – an Original Glazed doughnut dipped in blueberry flavored icing, topped with the Ravenclaw sprinkles and crest
  • Sorting Hat Doughnut – a filled doughnut, with a mystery-colored Kreme representing one of the four Hogwarts Houses, then dipped in chocolate-flavored icing, sprinkled with shimmering gold stars and gold sugar, and topped with the Sorting Hat piece

“We’re channeling the beloved magic of Harry Potter and the Houses of Hogwarts for a collection that is truly bewitching,” said Alison Holder, Chief Brand and Product Officer for Krispy Kreme. “But the magic is fleeting, and so are these doughnuts, so don’t miss your chance to try them!”

Krispy Kreme also unveiled the new Golden Snitch Latte, which it calls “a rich golden caramel toffee-inspired latte, topped with whipped cream, Biscoff cookie crumble, and a sprinkle of golden shimmer sugar.”

The new doughnuts and latte will be available for a limited time.

A specialty six-count assorted box of doughnuts will be available at Walmart, Kroger, and Publix. Additionally, on August 23, participating Krispy Kreme shops are giving away a free Original Glazed doughnut to anyone who reps their favorite Hogwarts house.

And it’s been too long since your childhood, a refresher on Hogwarts House colors. Just remember red and gold for Griffyndor, green and silver for Slytherin, yellow and black for Hufflepuff, and blue and bronze for Ravenclaw. Curious which Hogwarts House you belong to? Take the Sorting Ceremony quiz here.
