According to Swift, her mom, Andrea, and her brother, Austin, met with Shamrock Capital to discuss how they owned the rights to the music. “They sat down with Shamrock Capital and told them what this meant to me,” Swift said on the podcast.
“We were in Kansas City, and I get a call from my mom and she’s like, ‘We got your music,’” the singer continued, noting that she dropped to the floor and sobbed at the news. “I just very dramatically hit the floor, for real.”
Travis was playing video games when Swift got the news.
“He puts his headset down. He’s like, ‘Guys, I gotta go,’” she continued. “I think you thought something was wrong. I was like, ‘I got my music back,’ and then just start absolutely heaving.”
