It is certainly too early in the season for Brian Daboll or enthusiastic Giants supporters at Saturday night’s preseason match against the Jets at MetLife Stadium to start fantasizing about Jaxson Dart evolving into their version of Josh Allen.
At present, it seems Daboll has established a connection with his first chosen Quarterback of the Future in a manner he never managed to do with Daniel Jones, similar to the rapport he developed with Josh Allen during his early years in Buffalo.
Because Brian Daboll found a kindred spirit in Josh Allen, and I believe he has found one in Jaxson Dart.
Charlie Weis, a former Patriots offensive coordinator and former head coach at Notre Dame and Kansas, attended the joint practice with the Jets on Wednesday. He is familiar with Dart, having watched him extensively at Ole Miss, where his son Charlie Jr. has been the offensive coordinator under head coach Lane Kiffin since December 2021.
