CHICAGO (WLS) — Chicago police issued a warning about burglars targeting older adults across four neighborhoods on the South and Southwest sides.
Police said the burglars have hit homes in the Brighton Park, Bridgeport, McKinley Park and Armour Square neighborhoods.

The suspects have used several different methods to enter the homes, including hitting a victim’s garage door, distracting a victim while other burglars sneak inside, and waiting for a victim to leave, police said.
In one burglary, the suspects targeted a home while the victims were out of town.
The thieves have stolen items such as firearms, money and valuables.
- 3600-block of South Maplewood Avenue on Aug. 5 at 4:38 p.m.
- 4200-block of South California Avenue on Aug. 8 at 3:10 p.m.
- 2800-block of South Pitney Court on Aug. 9 at 5 p.m.
- 3300-block of South Seeley Avenue on Aug. 12 at 1:43 p.m.
- 2600-block of South Shields Avenue on Aug. 14 at 10 p.m.
The suspects have been described as two females and two males who use either a white van without license plates or a gray pickup truck without license plates
One of the female suspects is about 5-foot-1 and 120 pounds with brown eyes, and short, black hair. The other female suspect is about 5-foot-3 with hazel eyes. One of the male suspects wears a gray shirt and blue jeans, and the other wears an American flag ski mask a white t-shirt, black pants and black boots.
