Teresa Giudice hinted at the fateful call that let her know that the Real Housewives of New Jersey was put on pause, and she accused certain co-stars of “strategizing” before season 14 to go after her husband, Luis Ruelas.
Last year, Margaret Josephs admitted that she communicated with Luis’ ex off-camera. The co-star has made several negative comments about Luis since he and Teresa tied the knot, and Luis has fired back on more than one occasion.
After the season, Bravo chose to put the show on pause. Reports claim the execs weren’t happy about the cast divide. Throughout the episodes, several co-stars refused to film together.
On her Turning The Tables podcast, Teresa was asked about the call she received letting her know about the show’s status.
“Right after reunion — we didn’t even have a reunion [last season] — we get a call, usually right after that, we get a letter [saying] you’re coming back or you’re not,” said Teresa. “We didn’t get a letter [that year]. I think they called us.”
“They said … ‘We’re gonna be on pause,’” she explained. “[The call was ] not [from] the producers. I think it was Bravo.”
Later on, Teresa was asked if she strategizes before a season.
“No,” she said. “There’s no strategizing … With me, what you see is what you get. I don’t go in being strategic. Maybe that’s my problem, but it’s not really my problem because I think I’ve done pretty good so far … I’m not calculated. I really am myself, and I don’t go in with a plan.”
“I know other cast members, they do go in with a plan. They are calculated. They do their research and … talk to people that they shouldn’t be talking to and try to hurt, for instance, myself and my husband,” she said. “They knew to get to me, they [needed] to hurt my husband. And that’s what they did.”
The Real Housewives of New Jersey is expected to resume filming this year, though Bravo hasn’t yet confirmed any details. No one knows if Teresa will return.
