Southern Charm's Kathryn Dennis Says Taylor is "Full of Sh*t," Reacts to Her Kiss With Austen, and Gushes Over Olivia, Plus Reveals If She's in Touch With Austen, Suggests Producers Took Advantage of Her Youth, and Admits to "Mistakes"

Kathryn Dennis is no fan of Taylor Ann Green, especially after seeing what went down between her and Austen Kroll on the ninth season of Southern Charm, despite Austen’s past romance with her friend, Olivia Flowers, and Taylor’s former relationship with his friend, Shep Rose.

As Kathryn, 34, gushed over her friendship with Olivia, 33, called out Taylor, 30, for being “full of sh*t,” and revealed if she’s still in touch with Austen, 38, Kathyn seemingly shaded her former producers for not intervening amid her struggles in her early moments on the show and declared that Taylor changed after being cast on the series.

“I saw right through Taylor’s f*cking lemon dress she matched with Shep … Please. She’s full of sh*t, turned out to be exactly what I thought,” Kathryn shared on a previously recorded episode of Behind the Velvet Rope, which was shared on August 11.

According to Kathryn, when she first met Taylor, she was “always kind, but very meek, very distant,” and would always go off with Shep whenever they would film. But, as her role continued on the show, Kathryn noticed changes.

“She was definitely speaking up more, and I noticed that, but I encouraged it. I was like, ‘I’m so proud of you for getting out of Shep’s shadow,’” she recalled.

Then came Taylor’s hookup with Austen. As fans will remember, Taylor initially denied getting physical with her castmate. But, after Austen came forward, she was forced to admit that they at least shared a kiss.

“Me and Olivia, we’re still close. I love that girl. I was close with her brother, Connor. I met her through Connor and her family, we’ve just always been close. She’s my girl. She’s a good person. So when that whole thing happened, I was just shocked,” Kathryn noted of the love triangle, or square. “I’m reaching out, and I’m like, ‘Is this even real? Are y’all inventing storylines?’”

After being asked which Southern Charm cast member changed the most, Kathryn didn’t hesitate to name Taylor.

“Taylor, that is very disappointing because she was like preaching this whole Christian girl theme those first few years, and she was meek and quiet and sweet, and then all of a sudden she had this presence, and it was like, ‘Wait. I didn’t trust you because you’re suddenly acting like someone I’ve never met.’ And turns out … she’s not who I thought I met,” she explained.

While Kathryn is clearly not in touch with Taylor, she does speak to Austen from time to time.

“I texted him the other day to get a pedicure, but he was busy,” she revealed.

Looking back at her time on Southern Charm after being asked about the negative aspects of the series, Kathryn hinted that she felt producers should’ve done more to protect her.

“I was too young to have been allowed and pushed into a certain position,” she reasoned. “I see college kids all the time .. and I look at them and I’m just like, ‘That’s disturbing that people just let some of the things happen,’ not saying anything against anyone in particular, but I’m saying without saying that it just happened at a very young age and if it was me looking at someone, I would have put them under my wing and maybe given them some advice.”

“I think they wanted me in that role, and it just became it, and I really struggled with how to present myself online, on my Instagram, anywhere, because I’m a totally different,” she continued. “I’m a much deeper, complex, happy, silly, like, really big dork that loves, just the simple things. People don’t really know that side of me, and that’s my identity. That’s where I’ve found peace since leaving the show.”

Although Kathryn admitted, “I’ve made mistakes,” and said, “It hasn’t been great,” she is confident that she will be able to help others in the future.

“I know my future is bright, and I know I’m gonna do something great for other women, too. I have a platform. I just want to make it good, not always bad,” she shared.
