Today show host Karl Stefanovic and his wife Jasmine are reportedly considering a move to Queensland.
The Channel Nine presenter, 51, is eventually planning to leave Sydney and relocate to the Sunshine State where he grew up.
‘He’s told friends that his ultimate dream is to move north eventually permanently,’ a source told New Idea.
The insider said Karl recently signed a $3million a year contract with Nine so he ‘can’t walk away from Today and nor does he want to’.
But he is considering some flexibility and ‘could be splitting his time between Sydney and Brisbane.’
‘Karl turned 51 earlier this month and he’s getting to the stage in life where he is considering his future,’ the source added.

‘And he also doesn’t want to be working as hard as he currently is for too much longer.’
Karl and Jasmine often spend the summer holidays in Queensland with their five-year-old Harper.
The couple own a five-bedroom, five-bathroom holiday house, dubbed Villa Isabelle, in Noosa.
Last year, the pair listed the Sunshine Beach villa for rent for an eye-watering $1,000 per night.
The amazing spread, which they bought in 2020 for a reported $3.6million, sits on a cliff overlooking the popular shoreline in south-east Queensland.
Spread over three levels, the home boasts outdoor entertaining decks, a BBQ area, private balconies and an undercover garage.
It comes after reports claimed Karl is poised to cash in on a contract of approximately $3million per year, according to The Australian.

‘Nine sources tell us the network’s top brass have just finished passing a hat around at their Denison St headquarters in North Sydney and have managed to scrape together enough loose change to offer him a contract worth about $3million a year,’ the paper’s Media Diary wrote.
Currently on a $2.8million a year contract, Karl is rumoured to see a significant increase in his pay as he continues to front the second-rating breakfast show.
According to the publication, Nine is said to have given in to the TV presenter’s demands after he threatened to walk away if they were to lowball a new contract.
