The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office arrested a father and son after a June tip came in of a home they say was being used to sell drugs on East 25th Street.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office arrested a father and son in a Longbranch drug bust, the agency announced Monday.

In June, the JSO Narcotics Unit received a tip that a home on East 25th Street was being used to sell drugs. After a warrant was granted in July, detectives worked alongside the District 5 Task Force and the SWAT Team and located the following:

  • 13.1 grams of fentanyl (more than 6,500 potentially fatal doses, according to police)
  • 66.2 grams of powder cocaine
  • 28.3 grams of MDMA
  • 6.9 grams of crack cocaine
  • 868.7 grams of marijuana

JSO arrested two men in the process. Alfred Bell, 62, and his son Alfred Bell, 41, are facing multiple felony charges.

“We’re shutting down the family business,” police said regarding the arrests.

First Coast News has requested the suspects’ police reports for more information.
