Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are kicking off a new chapter as proud members of the “lake life” crew.

Over the weekend, the model and author, 39, shared a behind-the-scenes look at her family’s day on the water, giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at 2-year-old Esti’s very first boat ride.

In the video clip, that was posted to her Instagram Stories on Sunday, Aug. 17, little Esti could hardly contain her excitement as she hopped around before being fitted into a safety vest.

“Esti there’s unicorn wings on the back,” Teigen told her from behind the camera. The toddler craned her neck, asking sweetly, “Where?” Teigen laughed and reassured her: “On the back, on the side.”

Wearing her hair in two playful buns with denim shorts and white sandals, Esti looked thrilled to join the family outing.

Teigen summed up the milestone moment perfectly, “Had our first lake life experience on the water today! Happy to now be a lake family. Prontoons are the minivans of water and I love them.”

Esti wasn’t the only one soaking in the fun. Her twin brother Wren, also 2, popped up in the background of the video in a whale-printed life jacket, proudly sporting a freshly trimmed haircut.

Chrissy Teigen recently joked that cutting his hair is a two-day event, admitting, “Day one of a two day haircut (he gets very very mad).”

The lake outing is just the latest in a string of family highlights the couple has shared this summer.

Last month, daughter Luna, 8, surprised her parents with an at-home date night , transforming their house into her own “Rainbow Cafe.”

With the help of Wren, who delivered dessert, Luna served up fruit, macaroni and cheese, branzino, and ice cream cake.

 Teigen gushed in her caption, “She is everything I ever was as a little girl but ten million times better.”

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are parents to four children: Luna Simone, 8, Miles Theodore, 7, and Esti and Wren, 2.
