Missing Emmanuel Haro's dad is cooperating with police: Former lawyer

() The former lawyer and spokesperson for the father of Emmanuel Haro, a missing Calfornia child, says the father wants to cooperate with the police and their investigation.

“I don’t know where that statement that they stopped cooperating came from,” Vincent Hughes told “Banfield” on Tuesday after police said that Jake Haro and his wife, Rebecca Haro, stopped providing information when questions were asked about Emmanuel’s disappearance.

“I spoke to the detectives yesterday, offered for Jake to continue to speak with them; have not been made aware of any requests today to speak with Jake.”

Hughes, who made it clear he only represents Jake and not Rebecca Haro, said both parents voluntarily turned over their electronic devices and their passwords.

“Jake doesn’t like that no one is listening,” he said.

Haro and wife been without vehicle since Emmanuel’s dissapearance

Haro and his wife have come under fire after their plea to help find Emmanuel.

Haro went missing in California last week after his mother, Rebecca Haro, told police that she was changing his diaper in the parking lot of a Big 5 Sporting Goods Store when a stranger knocked her out and kidnapped the boy.

Hughes stated they’ve been without a vehicle since the kidnapping, which paints a more ugly picture than it should.

“They have no reliable transportation. They don’t have phones or internet to contact people because their devices have been taken, so how can they participate?” he said.

“Everyone’s made their mind up and saying that they’re refusing to do anything. They can’t.”

Haro’s 2-year-old son was removed from his parents’ home

Since the incident, Jake Haro and Rebecca Haro’s 2-year-old son was removed from their home, Hughes confirmed.

Police had already searched Rebecca’s home, but hadn’t announced if they had found anything incriminating. They also seized Jake’s vehicle Tuesday, affiliate KTLA reported.

Haro and his ex-wife pleaded guilty to willful child cruelty after their then-10-week-old daughter was admitted to a hospital with broken bones in 2018, according to The Orange County Register.

Haro begging for public’s help

Hughes also pointed out that Haro feels like no one is listening to him, and whether the cops are doing enough.

“The reason I’m on the show, to be very clear, is they’re begging for the public to help,” he said. “They’re begging for people to provide information.”

“There was a missing tip that was not provided previously, or it was provided to law enforcement. Law enforcement did not provide us with anybody else and until I started speaking with the media this morning. Now, law enforcement acknowledges, we were aware of that tip.

“Law enforcement is being very tight-lipped about the situation. That’s what’s concerning.”
