Woman stabbed to death in suspected DV attack

A woman in her 30s has been stabbed to death in a suspected domestic violence attack at a home in north-east Perth.

A man in his 20s, who she knew, was tonight helping police with their inquiries but no charges had been laid.

Emergency services were called to the Bassendean home about 12.30pm and found the woman with critical injuries, understood to be caused by stabbing.

About six ambulance crews rushed to the house and took her to the Royal Perth Hospital where she had emergency surgery this afternoon but later died.

The man was treated at the scene and was with police tonight.

Forensic officers spent several hours at the home combing through the area, taking pictures and collecting evidence.
