(NewsNation) — DNA matching Travis Decker, the man suspected of killing his three daughters in Washington state, was the only DNA found at the scene of the girls’ deaths other than their own, officials in Washington state announced.

  • Travis Decker, the Washington dad accused of killing his three daughters.

“The completion of this DNA analysis provides additional evidence that indicates Travis Decker is the only suspect involved in committing these homicides,” the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office said.

The DNA profiles matching Decker were collected from the plastic bags covering the heads of his daughters Paityn, Evelyn and Olivia Decker, ages 9, 8 and 5. Another positive DNA match was found on some cable ties found at the scene.

Investigators in Washington launched a manhunt for Decker in early June. after the girls’ bodies were found near Decker’s vehicle close to a campground west of Wenatchee, Washington. The girls’ mother had reported them missing days before, after Decker failed to return them to their mother’s home.

Authorities had previously matched Decker’s DNA to blood found on the truck discovered near the girls’ bodies, the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office announced in July. At the time, the undersheriff said the office had no reason “to believe there are any other suspects.”

Manhunt for Travis Decker continues

Decker’s “whereabouts remain unknown,” the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office said. As of Tuesday’s update, the department said it had no new evidence to indicate whether he’s dead or alive.

Decker is described as 5 feet, 8 inches tall and 190 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a light-colored shirt and dark shorts.

“Due to safety concerns do not attempt to contact or approach Decker,” police warned in June.

Anyone who may have seen Decker or knows his current location is asked to call 911. A $20,000 reward has been offered for information leading to Decker’s arrest.
