PINELLAS PARK, Fla. (WFLA) — Multiple people have reported complications after receiving dental work from a woman who Pinellas Park police said did not have a valid license.
Investigators said they learned Emely Martinez had been advertising and operating a business without a valid dental license after multiple victims came forward in June.
The business was located in a small shopping center at 9150 49th Street North in Pinellas Park.
Most of the complaints were specifically related to Martinez installing veneer implants for patients, the Pinellas Park Police Department said.

The victims told detectives Martinez also refused to repair the work or provide refunds.
Martinez was arrested on Aug. 20 on multiple charges related to the victims’ allegations, authorities said.
The charges against her include two counts of practicing dentistry without an active license, scheme to defraud (less than $2,000), and unlawful possession of personal identification of another.
Martinez also had two misdemeanor warrants — one for failure to appear and another for violation of probation — and was cited as a habitual traffic offender, according to police.
Additional victims are asked to contact the Pinellas Park Police Department at 727-369-7864.
