HGTV is going all-in on The Flip Off. 

On Thursday, the cable network announced that it had renewed the competition series featuring Christina Haack, her ex-husband Tarek El Moussa, and Tarek’s new wife, Heather Rae El Moussa, for a second season. New episodes will air sometime in 2026. 

Christina Haack goes for gold in ‘The Flip Off’ Season 2 

The Flip Off premiered in early 2025. It was a major hit for HGTV, attracting nearly 14 million viewers. Season 2 will be a rematch between Tarek and Heather, who won the first season, and Christina, who wants to prove that she really is the better flipper. 

In season 1, Christina was at a disadvantage as she had to compete solo against Tarek and Heather after her brutal split from ex-husband Josh Hall. Now, she’s ready to do whatever it takes to beat Tarek and Heather at the flipping game. But they aren’t going to give up their crown easily as the trio fights to see who will win The Flip Off, round two.

“Season 1 was just the warm-up…,” Tarek wrote on Instagram after the renewal was announced. 

“Let’s gooo,” Christina replied. 

HGTV adds new shows to evolving, ‘sexier’ lineup  

The Flip Off renewal comes as HGTV is cleaning house and sprucing up its lineup of shows. The network recently canceled number of shows, including Farmhouse Fixer, Bargain Block, and Married to Real Estate, according to their hosts. Christina on the Coast and The Flipping El Moussas will also reportedly not return. 

To fill out its schedule, HGTV embracing a “sexier” lineup of programming, Deadline reported in July. Several just-announced shows seem to fit that description. Among the more than 100 episodes of original content that will debut in 2025-26 is the new “fantasy lifestyle” show Cheap A$$ Beach Houses. It will show people how to own an slice of paradise without breaking the bank. The network has also ordered Tropic Like It’s Hot. The new series “put[s] alluring destinations and luxury living in the tropics center stage for buyers looking to turn up the heat in life and love.” 

Also on the horizon are Hoarding for the Holidays, which profiles festive families who take holiday decorating to the extreme. A one-hour special, White House Christmas 2025, also airs later this year. In addition, HGTV has renewed Love It or List It, Renovation Aloha, and Home Town. Ben and Erin Napier will also star in the new spinoff, Home Town: Inn This Together. The show follows the couple as they help to turn a rundown building in downtown Laurel, Mississippi, into new new hotel, food venue, and storefront.  

Starting in next month, HGTV will also begin airing new seasons of 100 Day Dream Home (September 16), Sin City Rehab with Alison Victoria (September 17), Scariest House in America (September 19), and Help! I Wrecked My House (September 24.) All shows stream the next day on HBO Max and discovery+.

Discovery. “The network’s large order of new and returning series has something for everyone.”
