THE parents of missing baby Emmanuel Haro have claimed they were forced to call 911 just days after their son was allegedly kidnapped.
Little Emmanuel, seven months, was reportedly taken after his mom said she was ambushed.
He was having his diaper changed after his parents had pulled into a sports shop parking lot in Yucaipa, California, before disappearing on August 14.
His disappearance has sparked a search that has been ongoing for more than a week.
There has been widespread interest in the mystery behind Emmanuel’s disappearance, but his parents, Rebecca and Jake, have claimed they’ve been subject to death threats, as per NewsNation.
The outlet also reported that the couple had to call 911 on Wednesday.
Items were allegedly stolen from their porch and strangers banged onto their door.
People who gathered near the couple’s home in Cabazon – located around 23 miles from Yucaipa – are said to have chased after their car when they left the property.
“It’s a bit of a circus outside of the house,” NewsNation producer Allison Weiner said.
“These people are walking onto the lawn, they’re walking up to the house, they’re banging on the door. I saw some of that behavior.”
Weiner said Jake is “very frightened.”
San Bernardino County cops, the force investigating Emmanuel’s disappearance, said foul play hasn’t been ruled out.
Investigators noted how there were inconsistencies in Rebecca’s accounts.
She told cops she was assaulted by a man and was left unconscious following the alleged attack that happened near a Big 5 Sporting Goods store.
Rebecca was planning on buying a mouthguard for her older son.
She realized Emmanuel was missing when she regained consciousness.
“I got him out of the car seat, and I laid him down so I can get his diapers ready, and somebody said, ‘Hola,’ and that’s all I remember. I saw white,” she told the ABC affiliate KABC-TV.
“I fell on the floor, and as soon as I got up, I couldn’t find my son.”
She said she heard a stranger’s voice before being attacked.
