Community Corner: "The Best Art Expression" - A celebration of art in Savannah with proceeds benefitting the Boys and Girls Club

It’s a celebration of creativity, culture, and community. Later this month, the Beach Institute African American Cultural Museum is hosting an exhibition featuring local artist Shameka Best whose works are infused with elements of African heritage and contemporary culture.

It’s called, THE BEST ART EXPRESSION event. From mesmerizing paintings to captivating pieces that will be for sale, this event is a commemoration of artistic talent.

The evening will also feature live poetry and spoken word performances– paying homage to the roots of her artistic beginnings. Guests are encouraged to wear white.

Half of the proceeds will benefit the Frank Callen Boys & Girls Club where Best works full-time as a mentor, teaching youth in foster care.
