Four arrested in Jenkins County drug bust, guns and cash seized

JENKINS COUNTY, Ga () – Four people in Jenkins County have been arrested after multiple search warrants were issued where drugs, drug paraphernalia and guns were seized. 

On August 22nd, the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office Drug Suppression Unit, along with the Jenkins County Sheriff’s Office, Bryan County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit and the Rincon Police Department K-9 Unit, conducted two search warrants at the Sunset Inn on US-25 in Millen and one at a home in the 700 block of Old Waynesboro Road in Millen.

Jenkins County Sheriff Robert Oglesby deputized ECSO investigators to assist with the investigation.

During the warrant searches, investigators found several guns, Methamphetamine, crack cocaine, cocaine, marijuana, multiple controlled substances, tools for distributing controlled substances and thousands of dollars in cash.

Marquette Wadley was arrested at the home on Old Waynesboro Road and charged with possession of cocaine, crack cocaine and marijuana with the intent to distribute. 

Shavelle Lovette and Karen Summers were arrested at the Sunsett Inn and charged with possession of methamphetamine, psilocybin, and other controlled substances with the intent to distribute, possession of the tools for the commission of a felony, use of a communication device to facilitate a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. 

Artravious Adams was also arrested at the Sunsett Inn and charged with possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute and possession of tools for the commission of a felony.
