Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch demurred Saturday when asked if she’d run for mayor in four years.

“I’m not a politician. I’m a public servant,” stated Tisch, age 44, who was warmly welcomed by around 100 individuals at Southampton’s popular spot, 75 Main. An observer described her reception as “tremendous.”

“People think she’s doing a terrific job as police commissioner,” the source said.

And she said she loves her job as police commissioner as she did her prior stint as sanitation commissioner to devise ways to make the city cleaner.

The approximately 100 attendees were supporters of either former Governor Andrew Cuomo or Mayor Eric Adams, but many primarily focused on leading Democratic candidate Zohran Mamdani.

“People are grappling with how to deal with Mamdani,” the source said.
