LAS VEGAS (KLAS) Las Vegas is no stranger to celebrity sightings, but this past weekend, a packed nightclub at Wynn Encore got bamboozled.

Attendees thought they had Justin Bieber in the house, only to learn it was a very convincing imposter.

“My first emotion was disappointment. I was like, no way. That would have been an all-time Vegas highlight for me,” Dan Griffith, who uses the stage name DJ Gryffin, said.

Video posted across social media shows the moment the crowd erupted as a man in sunglasses and a hoodie made his way toward DJ Gryffin’s booth.

Griffith said for a few minutes the room believed Justin Bieber was about to perform.

“I introduced him, and the place went nuts. Like 3,000 phones immediately were put in the air. It was pure chaos,” Griffith said.

The impersonator is 29-year-old Dylan Desclos from France. The fake Bieber went on to perform the real Bieber’s hit song “Sorry” before his 15 minutes of fame were up.

“He rolls up, and to his defense, he actually owned it pretty well. He had a lot of good stage presence, and he really leaned into the performance,” Griffith said.

Griffith says he was disappointed to find out the truth, although he admits it makes for a very “Vegas story” he’ll laugh about later.

There are reports circulating that Desclos and his crew ran up a $10,000 bar tab, which he eventually paid.

The Bieber look-alike has received a lifetime ban from Wynn Las Vegas. He has yet to respond to the situation.
