It’s official, Sister Wives is returning for a 20th season, and the trailer has already dropped. Many of us assumed we had heard all we could possibly hear about Coyote Pass, but apparently, we were wrong. The ill-fated property purchase will, once again, be a major focus of the season. The Browns will have one final “showdown” over the land before it is sold. Robyn Brown appears to be as villainous as ever before. The season 20 trailer for Sister Wives proves the family remains divided over Coyote Pass years after they ceased operating as a group.  

Season 20 of ‘Sister Wives’ will center around Coyote Pass yet again

Another season of Sister Wives is just weeks away. While a lot has changed for the Browns in the last several years, there are some things that have stayed the same. The season 20 trailer for Sister Wives proves the Browns will always find something to fight about; it’s Coyote Pass this time around. The trailer, released by TLC late last week, reveals that the season will largely center around the group continuing to break down their former plural family. In the promo, Janelle Brown notes they’ll be meeting for the “final showdown” on the Coyote Pass property. Robyn Brown looks interested in thwarting a potential sale, based on the trailer.

Based on the trailer, the sale of Coyote Pass and what is and is not fair will take up a good portion fo the season 20 storyline. While fans are probably over hearing about Coyote Pass, many are hoping Janelle and Meri Brown will get their rightful share. Last season, viewers saw Kody Brown attempt to swindle his two ex-wives out of their equal shares.

The property actually sold in April 2025

While fans will watch the final stand over Coyote Pass play out in season 20 of Sister Wives, in the present day, the land has already been sold. The group sold the property in April 2025 for $1.5 million. Meri Brown and Janelle Brown each walked away from the sale with $375,000. Kody and Robyn Brown took 50% as a married couple, meaning they earned $750,000 from unloading the property. It is unclear what timeframe the new season will cover, or if the sale will be included in season 20.

Meri hasn’t opened up about what she’s chosen to do with her earnings. Her former sister wife, Jenelle, likely invested some of her money in her new farm in North Carolina, though. She launched a flower business with her daughter, Madison Brush, shortly after moving out of Arizona. Kody and Robyn were likely desperate to cash their check. In October 2024, the pair purchased a $2.1 million sprawling mansion in Flagstaff. They upgraded from the $1 million property they previously owned. According to the U.S. Sun, the couple took out a $1.6 million mortgage to facilitate the purchase. A loan of that size comes with some pretty hefty payments.

Christine Brown, who was the first of Kody’s wives to leave the family behind, gave away her share of Coyote Pass to Kody and Robyn when she left Arizona in 2021. She kept the equity from the Flagstaff home she sold in exchange.  

Season 20 of Sister Wives will premiere on September 28 at 10 p.m. on TLC.
