JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. — The Florida Lottery on Monday revealed the winner of an $8.75 million jackpot lottery ticket sold at a Jacksonville Beach store earlier this year.

Kelly Hagens, 56, of Jacksonville Beach, won the $8.75 million Florida Lotto jackpot from the game’s May 7 drawing, according to the Florida Lottery. She bought the winning ticket at J and J Food Store, located at 632 Beach Blvd. in Jacksonville Beach.

On May 9, the Florida Lottery says Hagens claimed the winning ticket at the lottery’s headquarters in Tallahassee.

Hagens matched all six numbers from the drawing, which were: 1-8-12-24-33-47.

The overall odds of winning in the Florida Lotto are 1 in 7.61, and 1 in 22,957,480 for winning the jackpot prize, the Florida Lottery’s website states.

As of Monday, Aug. 25, the Florida Lotto jackpot has grown to $28.25 million — nearly $20 million more than when Hagens won it. Florida Lotto drawings take place on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
