Swift and Kelce haven’t told the public anything about their wedding plans. And they certainly haven’t publicly spoken about a prenup. However, a source previously told Life & Style that Swift absolutely wants a prenup in place to protect her assets.

“There’s just no way Taylor would walk down the aisle without a prenup,” the source alleged. “They both want it figured out before Travis gets down on one knee.”

While Kelce has an estimated net worth of $90 million, Swift’s surpasses his. She has an estimated net worth of $1 billion thanks to her ultra-successful albums and “The Eras Tour.” And with the exciting announcement for her next album, The Life of a Showgirl, she’s slated to increase her wealth even more. So, what could Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have in a prenuptial agreement? Bruce Law Firm notes that the couple’s agreement would likely include details on retaining pre-marital assets, dealing with income and royalties, and what to do with jointly acquired assets.

The law firm notes that the cornerstone of most prenups is ensuring that each person heading into the marriage can retain the assets they initially had. For Swift and Kelce, this could mean Swift keeps her music catalog, and Kelce keeps the earnings he makes from the NFL.

The couple will also want to figure out what to do with jointly acquired assets, especially if they purchase property together.

According to Bradley, “prenups are almost always the better option” for high-profile couples. “It is much easier to set ground rules at the start than to renegotiate them once the marriage is underway,” she said. “A postnup can still be effective, but the reality is your spouse doesn’t have to sign it, and by then, the dynamics of the relationship can make agreement harder.”
