SILVIO Berslusconi’s Bond-esque villa which hosted “bunga bunga” sex parties and boasts a nuclear bunker could be snapped up for an eye-watering £432million.

The mindblowing complex also features a sea-cave with access to the ocean, a heliport, an artificial volcano, and a fake Roman ampitheatre.

The sprawling residence was once the former Italian Prime Minister’s most treasured property – where he hosted the likes of Sir Tony Blair, George W Bush and Vladimir Putin.

And it was previously marred by scandal when media tycoon Berlusconi was accused of hosting “bunga bunga” sex parties at his properties in Sardiainia, Milan and Rome.

The potential buyer, a wealthy Arab businessman, is currently in negotiations for Villa Certosa, located in Porto Rotondo on the north coast of Sardinia.

If a deal is agreed, the sale would mark the most expensive residential property ever sold, according to a list made by Mansion Global.

The jawdropping villa is said to have 68 rooms, boasting beds of Mexican cacti, circles of megalithic stones and several swimming pools.

It also features guest bungalows scattered around a fake volcano which spews fire and smoke.

In 2006, neighbours reportedly had to call authorities after the volcano’s eruption became too close for comfort.

Boats can be kept in the sea-cave which features a swimming pool with an extravagant Poseidon mosaic on the floor.

The existence of the cave was rumoured for years but only confirmed in 2012 after a photographer managed to get snaps of it.

Berlusconi once said he installed the cave on the recommendation of his security services after he received numerous death threats.

Stairs connect the extraordinary sea-cave to the rest of the lavish villa – which is now owned by the late AC Milan owner’s five children.

The staggering villa is being sold by Sotheby’s International Realty in collaboration with Knight Castle Real Estate.

The dealer says on its website: “Elegantly cascading over several levels, La Certosa reveals itself through expansive loggias and panoramic terraces that frame mesmerising views of the Gulf of Marinella.

“At its heart lies a spacious central courtyard, around which unfold a magnificent main hall, lavish guest suites, and private staff accommodations.

“The interiors are a celebration of craftsmanship, with hand-painted ceramics and refined touches in Sardinian white granite, creating an ambiance of understated grandeur.”

It adds: “Among the many distinctive features are a wellness and fitness area, a private heliport, and even a nuclear-grade underground bunker.”

The ex-Italian Prime Minister was marred by controversy during his final years in office, and the villas he owned as part of his property empire were caught up in scandal too.

Most famously, he was alleged to have paid for sex with an underage prostitute and Moroccan belly dancer named Ruby the Heart Stealer, during “bunga bunga” sex parties at his Milan mansion.

It was even caught up in more controversy in 2009 when paparazzo Antonello Zappadu snapped long-lens shots of bikini-clad women lounging by the pool alongside Czech prime minister Mirek Topolánek – who was completely naked.

There have been previous rumours about the sale of Villa Certosa in the past.

Two years ago it was said that the Sultan of Brunei was interested in buying it.

The Saudi Royal family were also rumoured to be interested about 10 years ago.

Putin was a regular at Berlusconi’s Sardinian pad, visiting the Italian leader several times while they were in power from 2003 onwards.

Berlusconi died in 2023 at the age of 86, and the mansion now serves as the resting place for the former world leader’s ashes.
