Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift are engaged besties!

On Wednesday, the “Only Murders in the Building” star took to her Instagram Stories to celebrate Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s engagement announcement. She shared their joint post and wrote on top, “When bestie gets engaged,” alongside a heart face emoji.

She added Queen’s “You’re My Best Friend” as a soundtrack.

Gomez also shared a resurfaced message that Swift sent to her back in 2009 alongside snaps from their respective engagement announcements.

“Real love still happens sometimes. It’s not just something we make up when we’re nine. I have to believe that. You do too,” the “Blank Space” singer tweeted 16 years ago.

The pair have been BFFs since the late 2000s, when Gomez, now 33, dated Nick Jonas and Swift, now 35, was linked to his brother Joe Jonas.

Swift and Kelce announced their engagement on Tuesday with a photo carousel documenting the proposal in a flower-filled garden. “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨,” they captioned the post, which instantly went viral.

Gomez, meanwhile, got engaged to Benny Blanco in December 2024.

“Forever begins now,” the “Emilia Pérez” star captioned the announcement, in which she displayed a marquise diamond engagement ring.

Swift took to the comments section to volunteer for a very special role in the happy couple’s upcoming wedding — which is expected to take place in September in Montecito, Calif.

“Yes I will be the flower girl,” Swift wrote at the time.

Earlier this month, Gomez spoke out about the origins of her friendship with Swift.

“Taylor and I dated the Jonas Brothers,” Gomez said during the Aug. 6 episode of the “Therapuss With Jake Shane” podcast.

“I dated Nick and she dated Joe,” she added, “and everything was, it was cute, we were young.”

Despite the relationships ending, Gomez and Swift’s bond remained.

“She and I like to say the best thing we got out of those relationships was each other because it was really sweet,” Gomez said.

“At that age, we became best friends; [we] bonded over the breakup,” she recalled. “We just stuck around for all the ups and downs that came after. And here we are now 16 years later.”
