Jenelle Evans’ feuds continue. Not only did she throw shade at Tori Rhyne for finding a new man, but now she’s publicly blaming her mother for her troubled relationship with her eldest son. In her downtime, Evans took to Instagram to answer alleged fan questions. One fan asked about the former Teen Mom 2 star’s experience raising her son for the last few years. She used the question as an oppurtunity to take a shot at her mother, claiming Barbara Evans is the cause of Jace’s troubles, not her. While fans don’t buy it, Jenelle Evans is doubling down on her assessment, insisting her mother is “manipulative.” As is typical, Barbara Evans is not publicly responding.

Where is Jace Evans living?

Jace Evans never wanted to be in Las Vegas in the first place, it seems. After being bounced around the foster care system in the wake of David Eason’s child abuse charges, he landed back with his mother in February 2024. By the time the teen found a routine, Jenelle packed him and his siblings up and moved. The move to Las Vegas was for love. The relationship didn’t last. The May 2024 move was rumored to be causing strife between mother and son almost immediately. It appears that this was indeed the case.

By the following summer, Jace was sent to see his father, Andrew Lewis, in Florida. The living situation, with a man Jace had never so much as spent a full day with, ended after just a few weeks. He was sent back to Vegas. Now, he’s left Sin City to return to North Carolina. The move came after the teen shared texts between himself and his mother earlier this month. While it was initially unclear exactly where he was staying, the U.S. Sun reports he is living with his grandmother, Barbara Evans, and attending school online. Jace, via a now-expired Instagram story, has reported that he is doing much better.

While Jace insists he is doing better now that he’s back home in North Carolina, his mother isn’t convinced everything is going to go swimmingly. During her self-imposed break from the Las Vegas Strip, she took to Instagram to answer fan questions. The mother of three insists that her own mother, who had custody of Jace until he was 14, is completely to blame for his behavioral problems. In the now-expired story, Jenelle Evans claims she has to teach herself not to be “reactive” after growing up around her own mother. She claims Jace’s behavioral troubles are directly related to Barbara’s influence.

Critics were quick to point out that there are many hours of video footage showing the family’s dynamic. Still, she isn’t hearing it. She took to Facebook to double down on her claims that her mother is the source of the family’s problems. She used the platform to allege that her mother is the “biggest manipulator,” but failed to elaborate further. Jenelle previously claimed she was a victim of Munhausen Syndrome by proxy.

Just a few weeks back, Jenelle claimed she was no longer in contact with her mother. It’s hard to keep up with exactly what has gone awry now. Still, it seems the former reality TV star might be in her feelings about her son’s move back to North Carolina. It’s unclear if she’s been in contact with Jace.
