News that Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are engaged has dominated the headlines since the couple dropped the announcement on August 26. The A-list pair might just be the hottest couple in Hollywood since going public in 2023, but they aren’t the only famous people in love. They aren’t even the only famous pair who have decided to take the next step this week. Love really is in the air for celebrities right now. These celebrity couples also got engaged this month, but their announcements were overshadowed by news that the English teacher and the gym teacher are getting married.
Prince Jackson announced that he is engaged on the same day as Travis and Taylor
Prince Jackson, the eldest son of Michael Jackson, is getting married, too. The celebrity offspring also made his announcement via Instagram on August 26. Prince, who runs a production company, met his fiancée, Molly Schirmang, while they were both students at Loyola Marymount University.
They began dating in 2017, and they’ve been together ever since. It’s unclear exactly where he popped the question, but Prince shared a series of photos of the couple’s life together in the announcement. He did not mention when they plan to tie the knot. It seems like the young couple doesn’t mind taking their time.
Bachelor Nation celebrated an engagement announcement the day before
Bachelor Nation fans had something to celebrate on August 26, too. While the world was focused on Travis and Taylor, Bachelor Nation enthusiasts were focused on Chloie Castello. Chloie, originally from Kansas, appeared on Grant Ellis’ season of The Bachelor. While she didn’t make it far into the season, she was marketed by the show’s producer as the first “plus-size model” contestant.
Costello hard-launched the relationship with her fiancé, Hutch Hershberger, in April and announced their engagement on August 25. It’s unclear how they met, but Costello was clearly smitten from the very beginning. During a podcast appearance around the same time, she proclaimed that he was “the one.” Apparently, she was right.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s engagement news was almost as big as Travis and Taylor’s
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s engagement news is huge, but there is another megastar who decided that marriage was in the cards this month. Cristiano Ronaldo announced his engagement to Georgina Rodriguez on August 11. The duo, who have been together since 2016 and share children, shocked fans with the surprise announcement.
Interestingly enough, August 11 is the date that many Swift fans believe Travis Kelce actually popped the question. It is the date that he and Swift sat down to film the record-breaking episode of New Heights, in which she made an appearance. The episode premiered on August 13.
