Kate Waterhouse and her legendary horse trainer mother Gai Waterhouse, dressed to impress as they attended the Everest Carnival Launch in Sydney on Tuesday.

The 40-year-old racing royalty ensured all eyes were on her as she arrived at the event in a strappy blue dress which featured a gold detail at the front.

Kate completed her look with matching gold earrings and tied her long blonde locks back into a ponytail.

Her mother Gai looked elegant in a cream-coloured suit jacket and matching pants as she sat alongside her daughter in a horse carriage.

The 70-year-old added a pop of colour by opting to carry a light purple designer bag and wrapped a coloured scarf around her neck.

They were all smiles as they posed in the carriage with former Married At First Sight star Duncan James and his friend Tim Brimmer.

Duncan and James both looked dapper as in navy suits, buttoned shirts and a tie.

Meanwhile, model Laura Dundovic , 37, looked glamorous as she arrived to the Royal Randwick Racecourse in a strapless red dress which showed off her clinched waist.

The former Miss Universe Australia accessorised the dress, which featured a dramatic design on the top, with a matching coloured fascinator and red stilettos.

She was also joined by influencer Saskia Wotton, who put on a stunning display in an elegant light pink frock.

She completed the look with a net fascinator, a straw clutch and a pair of pink heels.

Saskia is no stranger to the world of fashion, having founded her very own label, Muma World, with Dave Frim.

Also in attendance was Channel Seven star Mel McLaughlin, who showed off her trim pins in a mini blazer dress.

The sports presenter, 45, finished her look with beige heels and left her long, curled brunette locks out.

The stylish dress had three bows along the front and tulle detailing along the hem.  

She accessorised her look with a matching fascinator and white stilettos.

Grace also carried a grey clutch and wore simple diamond earrings.

Meanwhile, Hat designer Stacey Hemera Roberts showed off her figure in mustard-coloured strapless dress.
