Influencer Jess Hurrell, who had boasted more than 94,000 followers on Instagram, has died. She was 42.

The British influencer, renowned for her skills in interior design, passed away following an 8-year struggle with cancer, as announced by her family on Instagram Saturday.

“Her positive energy was infectious and her family and friends loved her dearly and being around her,” Hurrell’s family wrote in the heartfelt post.

“Despite battling this terrible illness for over 8 years, many were amazed by her resilience and upbeat nature. Few people realized Jess was enduring this struggle, as she consistently remained cheerful, energetic, and faced life with determination.”

“We are heart broken and she will be remembered forever. Rest in peace my darling,” they added.

The social media sensation from London gained a devoted audience by frequently posting about her home makeovers and lifestyle experiences, which included family trips and home-cooked recipes.

She is survived by her husband David, and their two children Rafferty and Nellie.

The pair, who tied the knot in 2011, had met at school and dated for 11 years before getting hitched.

Over the weekend, David shared a heartbreaking post on what would have been the pair’s 14th wedding anniversary.

“Happy anniversary darling,” he wrote in the touching tribute on Instagram. “Can’t believe we didn’t make it to 14 but I’ve had the most incredible 25 years and am blessed to have met you. Sleep tight.”

Prior to becoming an internet personality, Hurrell had worked as a journalist at a national newspaper. She had ultimately left that career once she welcomed her children.

“I eventually ran out of enthusiasm for the wild nights and 5am finishes (but I’ll never tire of lunch dates with you TH) and moved on to the decidedly more wholesome job of raising my two little humans,” she wrote in her blog a decade ago.

“I still pull the occasional 5am finish but it’s a rarity rather than the norm now.”

It was then that she launched her interior design blog Gold Is A Neutral.
