Over the past few months, there have been several rumors swirling about who might be joining the cast of DWTS Season 34. So far, there have only been a few cast members who have actually been confirmed, leaving the rest a mystery until the official announcement.

At one point, it was rumored that a former High School Musical star would be hitting the ballroom floor. There was another moment when Summer House star Ciara Miller responded to rumors of her own casting. There’s even been a completely different rumor (involving DWTS star Derek Hough) that the series was even considering pairing two men together. This time around, the latest rumor is that reality TV star Hilaria Baldwin might be throwing her hat in the ring.

Hilaria’s Been Hinting At Her DWTS Casting

The rumors appear to be coming from Hilaria herself—she’s posted several videos of herself (and husband Alec Baldwin) dancing around their home over the past several weeks. Hilaria appears to be following professional dance styles, doing flamenco in one video and ballroom moves in others.

In the caption of one of her videos, she credits her husband for his instruction. “@alecbaldwininsta is the best dance teacher,” she wrote. Is it possible that she’s joining the upcoming season of DWTS? Or is it that she and Alec simply enjoy dancing around their luxurious home? As of this article’s writing, it’s neither been confirmed nor denied that Hilaria has been tapped for the cast.

Fans Are Split Over The Idea Of Hiliaria’s Casting

After seeing Hilaria’s dance moves, many of her followers were impressed, noting that she had the skills to compete in the reality TV competition. Some fueled the casting rumors with their comments on her posts:

Even one DWTS pro dancer, Alan Bersten, commented on one of her videos, saying, “Woah!!! Let’s go!”

In a Reddit thread discussing the casting rumors, however, fans were less than thrilled at the idea of Hiliaria taking part in Season 34. Many of them noted that, unlike her actor husband, she didn’t feel famous enough to qualify for the show.

Others said they simply didn’t like her after the drama about Hilaria faking an accent and acting like she was a woman of color when she really wasn’t. “I think she should STAY HOME with her husband and SEVEN CHILDREN!” wrote one user.

“I pray it’s not true, but it would make sense!” speculated another. Still others noted that, considering the amount of dance videos Hilaria posted on social media, it didn’t seem likely that she was teasing her casting. “I feel like she’s being too obvious about it!” one user pointed out.

As of this article’s writing, only four cast members have been confirmed for Season 34. Among them are two cast members from The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, as well as wilderness expert Robert Irwin (whose sister Bindi is a former champion) and social media influencer Alix Earle.
