INDIANAPOLIS Videos of a fight inside an Indianapolis Walmart are going viral. Several people can be seen hitting one another near the front of the store, which is located along Keystone Avenue on the city’s north side.

What the videos don’t show, however, is what led up to the brawl on Friday afternoon.

“It was instantly on site,” said Kind Butler, who witnessed the fight.

Butler frequents the grocery store nearly every day to stock his rental properties across the city. Prior to punches being thrown, he heard family of an alleged rape victim trying to find someone who may have been involved in the attack.

“There wasn’t any questioning, no anything,” Butler said. “Just as soon as they saw the girl, the whole family came over and started beating her up.”

Tikerra Hicks is the named victim in the police report. She said she had been getting calls about how her friend allegedly raped her other friend. She had just come back from the bathroom when she was ambushed.

“I just hear, ‘There she go’ and then boom on the side of my head I feel somebody hitting me,” Hicks said.

Hicks said she’s known the person accusing her friend of rape for years, but she’s still unsure why she was the target of the attack.

“(The alleged rape) have nothing to do with me,” Hicks said. “I wasn’t there, even if it did happen, to protect he. And I wasn’t there to defend him either.”

Hicks is named as an “other person” in a Beech Grove police report documenting a rape investigation, but she insists the allegations are made up.

”I haven’t talked to any officers besides after the fight,” Hicks said.

Hicks said she’s been suspended from Walmart following the brawl. The whole situation remains a shock to both her and Butler, who said private problems shouldn’t be handled so publicly.

”I’m just glad everyone was OK, and hopefully they solve the issues,” Butler said.

No arrests have been made following the fight. FOX59/CBS4 reached out to Beech Grove police about the rape investigation. The agency has not responded to FOX59/CBS4’s request for comment.

Members of the management teams at the Walmart where the fight took place indicated that they are not allowed to talk about the situation.
