“Saturday Night Live” has added five new cast members ahead of its upcoming season, including Ben Marshall, who made regular appearances on the show as part of the comedy trio Please Don’t Destroy.

He will join newcomers Tommy Brennan, Jeremy Culhane, Kam Patterson and Veronika Slowikowska.

“This doesn’t feel real, but we’ll see you guys on Saturdays! @nbcsnl,” Brennan wrote on Instagram.

Brennan has performed on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” and was selected as a Just for Laughs New Face of Comedy in 2023.

Slowikowska, who is known for her viral sketch comedy, has appeared in “Tires” and “What We Do in the Shadows.” She said that joining the cast of “Saturday Night Live” is a “dream come true.”

“See you Saturdays @nbcsnl,” she posted on Instagram.

Culhane, who has become known for his viral TikTok videos, is a regular on the comedy streaming service Dropout TV and performs with the comedy group Upright Citizens Brigade in Los Angeles.

Patterson is a regular on the live comedy podcast “Kill Tony” and will be on the upcoming Netflix comedy “72 Hours.”

Marshall started writing for “Saturday Night Live” in 2021 and often made appearances with Please Don’t Destroy alongside John Higgins and Martin Herlihy.

The announcement comes after creator Lorne Michaels told Puck that there was going to be a major shake-up to the show. In August, it was reported that veteran cast member Heidi Gardner was not returning, and cast members Devon Walker, Michael Longfellow and Emil Wakim announced they were leaving. Writer Celeste Yim also announced their departure.

Season 51 of “Saturday Night Live” premieres Oct. 4 at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock.
