INDIANAPOLIS (WXIN) An Indiana man named Mark Zuckerberg is suing Meta Platforms, including Facebook, after he said his accounts were disabled at least five times in the last eight years.

Zuckerberg, who is a lawyer at the Bankruptcy Law Office of Mark S. Zuckerberg, has claimed that both his business and personal pages have been impacted by being disabled even after he paid for advertising services on his business page.

According to court documents, Meta staff has allegedly accused Zuckerberg of “impersonating a celebrity” and not using an “authentic name.”

Zuckerberg stated that he has provided Meta with his driver’s license, credit cards, and multiple facial images to prove his identity. He also told the company that he has been practicing law for more than 38 years under his own name. During this time, despite suspending his account, Meta is accused of allegedly retaining more than $11,000 in advertising payments made by Zuckerberg.

The reported victim is suing on multiple counts, court documents show, including:

  1. Breach of implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing
  2. Breach of contract
  3. Negligence
  4. Promissory estoppel
  5. Injunctive Relief

Under the Meta umbrella is Facebook, cofounded by Mark Zuckerberg, 41, of White Plains, New York. That Zuckerberg is currently the chairman and CEO of Meta, which also owns Instagram, WhatsApp, Oculus, and more. He’s also among the wealthiest people in America.

Meta did not respond to a request for comment from Nexstar’s WXIN.
