A 39-year-old woman in Pennsylvania was allegedly found hiding beneath a pile of blankets after threatening to kill her boyfriend and his family before nearly stabbing him to death with a kitchen knife.

Christina A. Morris was taken into custody this week and charged with a spate of crimes, including attempted homicide and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon resulting in serious bodily injury, court records reviewed by Law&Crime show.

Officers with the Cumberland Township Police Department at about 9:50 p.m. on Monday responded to a call from a man who claimed to have been stabbed by his girlfriend in a trailer on Walker Avenue, York Fox affiliate WPMT reported.

“Upon arrival, [police] did observe an on-going physical confrontation inside of the kitchen area between the defendant and the victim through a window,” police wrote in a probable cause affidavit obtained by the Gettysburg Times.

After police knocked on the door, the victim opened the door as Morris ran toward the back of the structure, officials said. The victim was reportedly covered in blood.

“At this point, [police] conducted a search of the residence to locate the defendant,” the affidavit reportedly said. “The defendant was subsequently located in the back bedroom of the trailer, hiding underneath of blankets.”

Morris was taken into custody and placed in the back of the officers” patrol car while they conducted a field interview with the victim.

The victim told authorities that he was inside of the trailer watching television when Morris came from “out of nowhere” and began saying “that she was going to kill him and his family,” Harrisburg ABC affiliate WHTM reported.

That’s when Morris allegedly grabbed a knife from the kitchen and attacked the victim, striking him “numerous times in the face” before allegedly trying “to stab him in the neck” with the knife. The victim reportedly blocked the thrusts to his neck with his left arm, resulting in defensive stab wounds to his arm and shoulder.

‘He was in fear for his life throughout the altercation,” the affidavit reportedly said.

Emergency medical personnel provided treatment for the victim at the scene before transporting him to Gettysburg Hospital for treatment.

Authorities performed a search of the residence, where they “observed a massive amount of blood in the kitchen, and retrieved the suspected knife from a silverware drawer located in the kitchen.”

Morris agreed to speak with detectives, allegedly confessing to “putting the knife up to the victim” before eventually returning it to the kitchen drawer.

In addition to the aforementioned charges, Morris is also facing misdemeanor counts of simple assault and possession of an instrument of crime with intent to use it.

Morris appeared in court for her initial appearance on Tuesday where Magisterial District Judge Mark D. Beauchat denied bond due to her being a “danger to society.” She is currently being held in the Adams County Prison and scheduled to appear in court again for a preliminary hearing on Sept. 10.
