Karen Huger made her way out of the Montgomery County Detention Center in Maryland on Tuesday, September 2, six months prior to her expected release. However, her legal drama is far from over.
After the 62-year-old Real Housewives of Potomac star was found guilty of DUI, as well as charges of negligent driving and failure to maintain speed control to avoid a crash, she is being forced to follow a tight set of rules.
According to TMZ, Karen is not allowed to drive for a year and will be on supervised probation for the next five years. When she does get back behind the wheel, she’ll be required to have an interlock device installed in her vehicle. Then, if she completes her supervised probation without incident, she’ll be transferred to unsupervised probation for an additional three years.
As RHOP fans will recall, Karen was charged with DUI in March 2024 after crashing her Maserati in Potomac, Maryland. And in body cam footage, she was seen name-dropping Andy Cohen, 57, as she mentioned her nickname, “The Grande Dame,” and slurred her words to responding officers.
Hours after Karen was released from jail, she allegedly ventured to a celebrity hairstylist to get her hair done amid rumors of filming for season 10. However, a video posted by Steven Thomas and reshared by TMZ appears to have been taken in February 2024.
While the video has made its rounds on social media, with many believing it was shot on Tuesday, Karen’s hair and attire are the same as what she sported when appearing on a past episode of Watch What Happens Live.
Although Karen may not have been getting that particular glam for filming, there was a camera crew present to capture her exit from jail, which is expected to be featured on the upcoming episodes of RHOP.
The Real Housewives of Potomac season 10 premieres on Sunday, October 5, at 8/7c on Bravo.
