Tika Sumpter has always balanced a lot of roles, actress, producer, podcaster, and mom, and now she’s adding beauty entrepreneur to the list. On August 25, the Southside with You star launched Yummy Tummy, a clean skincare line created with mothers in mind.

Yummy Tummy products are designed to support women through pregnancy, postpartum, and all the busy seasons of motherhood that follow.

For Tika, the project grew out of her own experience. “When I dreamed up Yummy Tummy, I was deep in the thick of it, trying to care for my baby, my body, and myself with zero time, way too many tabs open, and a whole lot of love,” she explained in a recent press release.

“I wanted simple, clean, trustworthy care. Not just for stretch marks, sore nipples, or dry skin, but for those in-between moments when you just need something to feel good again. So I made it.”

The heart of the line is a three-step hydration system that’s safe, gentle, and free of harsh ingredients. It includes:

• Nurture Oil, a light moisturizer that can also double as bonding oil for baby.
• Nurture Cream, a rich hydrator for tight, dry, or stretched skin.
• Nipple & Skin Balm, a multitasker that works for nursing moms as well as rough spots like elbows and hands.

Tika created Yummy Tummy to be practical without losing that touch of indulgence moms deserve.

According to Tika, what makes Yummy Tummy stand out is how personal it feels. Since becoming a mother to her daughter Ella-Loren in 2022, Sumpter has been vocal about the ups and downs of parenting. She’s already penned a children’s book, I Got It From My Mama, and launched a podcast to highlight stories about modern motherhood.

With Yummy Tummy, she’s channeling those same values, self-care, honesty, and connection, into beauty.

“Pregnancy and motherhood bring so many changes,” she shared. “I wanted to create something that gives moms permission to slow down, care for their bodies, and feel good in their own skin.”
