Jordan Hoffman, 33, and his wife, Harliegh Hoffman, 27, face 70 charges combined after Lake City detectives conducted a forensic analysis on Jordan’s phone.
COLUMBIA COUNTY, Fla. — Lake City police have charged a Columbia County firefighter with 53 additional child sexual abuse counts, bringing the total number of charges he faces to 57.
Jordan Hoffman, 33, faces 14 counts of possession of child pornography, six counts of promoting sexual performance by a child, 35 counts of unlawful sexual activities involving animals, one count of unlawful use of a two-way communications device and one count of altering or destroying physical evidence.
According to the Lake City Police Department, Hoffman was arrested on Aug. 25 after police received a “CyberTip report” from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
In a press release, LCPD said they charged Hoffman with the 53 additional child sexual abuse charges on Wednesday, Sept. 3, after conducting a forensic analysis on Hoffman’s phone, which revealed “additional evidence of child sexual exploitation material.”
LCPD said their investigation into Hoffman also uncovered evidence implicating his wife in similar offenses.
“Detectives developed probable cause to charge her with violations of Florida law related to child sexual exploitation and unlawful sexual activities with animals,” LCPD said in the release.
Hoffman’s wife, 27-year-old Harliegh Hoffman, faces five counts of possession of child pornography and eight counts of unlawful sexual activities involving animals, according to the release.
