Christine Brown is letting it all out in her memoir, Sister Wife: A Memoir of Faith, Family and Finding Freedom. In the book, the mother of six pinpointed the exact moment she realized she would never be friends with Robyn Brown nor trust her. From the sounds of it, Robyn Brown never played exactly by the rules.

Christine revealed that at one point, she confided in Robyn about feeling resentment and anger towards Kody over the hospitalization of her youngest child. Christine admitted that she told Robyn she was angry that Kody had left their then-toddler with their teen daughters so he could assist at Robyn’s home, knowing the child was sick. When Christine arrived home from a shopping trip, Truely was so ill that she needed to be hospitalized. She went on to reveal that Robyn had told Kody everything Christine had said to her. The gossip session led to a fight between Christine and Kody. In that moment, she said she realized she would never confide in Robyn again as a friend. From the looks of it, she didn’t.

While Christine insists Robyn’s betrayal was the straw that broke the camel’s back, the situation was pretty dire long before her moment of sharing blew up in her face. Christine Brown had been staunchly opposed to adding a fourth wife to the family. Her disinterest started long before Robyn entered the picture.

Christine was largely positive and upbeat about the family structure during the early season of Sister Wives. She now admits that it was mostly an act. Still, she was honest about one thing. During the show’s premiere episode, she made it clear that she had been hesitant to add another wife to the family. She went on to insist that Robyn only joined the group because she turned out to be a good fit. Still, fans can easily read between the lines. Christine had an overwhelming desire to be the third and final wife. She wasn’t into the idea from the start and really didn’t have a say. Robyn betraying her confidence just sealed the deal.

Does Christine Brown talk to Robyn Brown now?

It’s been years since Christine Brown left Kody Brown and her plural lifestyle behind. Her new life seems to fit her needs well. Still, it’s done little to mellow her out or dilute some of the bitterness she feels towards Kody and his current wife.
