An anti-establishment protest will no longer block the Sydney Harbour Bridge after police reached an agreement with organisers.

An application to protest on Saturday was made by members of Australia Unites, which has links to anti-vaccination and sovereign citizen movements.

The march will start in Hyde Park and move through Sydney’s CBD.

The original route stretched from Milsons Point, across the bridge, to Hyde Park.

Police had filed in the Supreme Court to block that route, but have now withdrawn that filing after negotiations were successful.

Organisers say the purpose of the demonstration is to “bring together everyday Australians to highlight worsening cost-of-living pressures, declining health outcomes, rising violence, financial strain — including superannuation and tax grabs — and environmental policies that serve corporations instead of people”.

“A vote of no confidence isn’t just a formality, it’s a statement,” the website reads.

“The subtext is clear: trust is gone, authority has cracked, and survival is hanging by a thread.

“Even if the leader scrapes through, the writing is on the wall — their power has slipped, their backing has fractured, and the countdown to change has already begun.”

The website also indicates they have zero tolerance for racism and violence and “neo-Nazis are not welcome”.

Listed organisers on the website include The People’s Revolution, MMAMV, My Place Australia and Craig Cole.

The MMAMV Facebook page promotes “vaccine education” and campaigns against “big pharma”.

The My Place Australia website indicates it supports “step(ping) away from the current system” as well as “free will, free speech and celebrating our sovereignty”.

The “Leave the Kids Alone” website by advocate Craig Cole campains against “radical gender theory”.

Police say they are now making arrangements to ensure the protest goes ahead safely.
