JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — A Johnson City chiropractor has been awarded the 2025 James R. Cole Heritage Award by the Tennessee Chiropractic Association (TCA).
A release from the TCA said that Dr. Brion Jones, of Jones Chiropractic Clinic, has served on the TCA board for 13 years as the District 1 director.
According to the release, Jones has volunteered across Washington County, including roles with the Johnson City Civil Service Commission, Boy Scout leadership, city parks and ETSU Athletics.

“We are proud to recognize Dr. Jones for the remarkable contributions he’s made,” said TCA Executive Director Tiffany Stevens in a release. “His determination, humility, and strong voice for unity and progress has created a lasting heritage enriched by his over 30-year career of excellence.”
Jones studied pre-medicine at ETSU and chiropractic at Life University. After graduating, he worked as an associate with TCA mentors Dr. Jim Messimer, Dr. Joe Birdwell and Dr. Lonnie Jackson.
After that, Jones opened his own practice, Jones Chiropractic, where he now employs three staff members and works with his wife, who the TCA said is a vital team member.
“An active TCA Gold Member for 20 years, Dr. Jones’ strong sense of justice and no-nonsense leadership have been a strong voice both within the profession and on ‘the Hill’,” the release states.
Jones accepted his award from TCA President Dr. Alison Davidson at a conference hosted by TCA this week.
