Live from New York’s UBS Arena, LL Cool J hosts the 2025 MTV VMAs!

A jam-packed weekend of entertainment comes to an end with MTV’s fan-favorite Video Music Awards! This year’s show features an eclectic list of all-star performers as Mariah Carey, Lady Gaga, Tate McRae, Alex Warren, Sabrina Carpenter, Doja Cat, Jelly Roll, and Post Malone, take the stage in NYC.

Music’s most iconic night also includes Mariah Carey accepting the coveted Vanguard Award (and performing a medley of her greatest hits), Busta Rhymes taking home the MTV VMA Rock the Bells Visionary Award, a powerhouse Ozzy Osbourne tribute, and Ricky Martin receiving the inaugural Latin Icon Award. Lady Gaga leads the way with 12 nominations, followed by Bruno Mars (11), Kendrick Lamar (10), Sabrina Carpenter (9), and ROSÉ (8).

What Time/Channel Are The MTV VMAs On Tonight?

The VMAs pre-show, hosted by Nessa + Kevan Kenney with special performers KATSEYE, starts at 7:00 p.m. ET on MTV, BET, BET Her, Comedy Central, CMT, Logo, MTV2, Nickelodeon, Paramount Network, Pop, TV Land, and VH1.

The VMAs officially begin at 8:00 p.m. ET on CBS, MTV, and Paramount+. Yes, you read that correctly. For the first time, the show will air on CBS!
