Republican mayoral candidate Curtis Sliwa has debuted his initial TV advertisement for the campaign, featuring his wife Nancy, who addresses safeguarding women from violent crime, according to The Post.

Only Nancy speaks during the 30-second spot — part of a $350,000 ad buy by the Sliwa campaign, $250,000 for TV spots and $100,000 for social media.

“They say New York City is safe. Women know better,” Nancy Sliwa, a longtime public safety and victims’ rights attorney, says in the clip.

She talks about an increase in reported rapes while domestic violence drives vulnerable women and children into shelters.

“Curtis and I have consistently stood up for women and will continue to do so because no one should have to decide between supporting their family and ensuring their safety,” she stated as Sliwa, without his trademark red beret, gazes at her approvingly and nods.

The ad also displays footage of the couple walking in the street with Curtis, founder of the Guardian Angels, wearing his beret.

Sliwa has $4 million available in campaign funds to utilize in the closing phase of the general election against Democratic candidate Zohran Mamdani, sitting Mayor Eric Adams, and former Governor Andrew Cuomo, who are both running as independents.

The ad buy shows that Sliwa will be a major factor in the outcome of the multi-candidate mayoral race, even if he doesn’t win.

He says he’s in it to win it.

“Women deserve a city where they feel safe on the way home from work, not one where danger waits on every platform,” Sliwa said of the ad. “As mayor, I will make women’s safety a top priority.”

Sliwa touted his “women-first” safety plan that includes hiring 7,000 more police officers and strengthening the NYPD Transit Bureau with visible patrols.
