MULBERRY, Fla. (WFLA) — A 21-year-old man was dragged inside his home and left for dead after being run over during a party at a mobile home park, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies began investigating during the early morning hours of Sunday, Sept. 7 after receiving a 911 call from someone reporting they had found the 21-year-old dead inside his mobile home.

After arriving at the Willow Oak Mobile Home Park and seeing the victim, detectives quickly realized he had injuries from being run over by a vehicle, authorities explained.

Investigators said interviews with witnesses revealed what may have happened.

A “large party” took place outside one of the trailers on Saturday evening, and detectives said they were told nearly everyone was drinking alcohol.

Witnesses said the victim was lying down in a driveway, where Ponciano Cinto-Ramirez, 52, had parked his van. Cinto-Ramirez was seen getting inside the vehicle by people at the party.

According to deputies, Cinto-Ramirez put the van into reverse and backed over the victim.

People at the party yelled at Cinto-Ramirez, telling him that he had run over the man, but Cinto-Ramirez continued to drive away, the sheriff’s office reported.

Cinto-Ramirez was then seen parking his van outside another lot at the mobile home park.

Deputies found six people, including Cinto-Ramirez, at the lot but said they all refused to come out. Authorities did eventually get the people to come outside. However, they said the people “refused to give deputies information or cooperate.”

Two of the people, Leonel Cinto Lopez, 24, and Ramiro Cinto Lope, 25, are accused of giving deputies fake IDs.

Officials said they learned all six of the people are from Guatemala and are not supposed to be in the United States. They were all arrested on various charges and could soon face deportation.

Cinto-Ramirez is the only one charged in the 21-year-old’s death, according to the sheriff’s office. The charges against him include leaving the scene of a crash involving death, driving without a license causing death and resisting arrest.

The rest of the arrests and charges are as follows:

• Alfredo Cinto-Ramirez, 48, charged with resisting arrest (F3) and giving false info to LEO (F3)
• Rigoberto Lopez Morales, 22, charged with resisting arrest (F3)
• Jacinto Lopez Morales, 46, charged with resisting arrest (F3)
• Leonel Cinto Lopez, 24, charged with resisting arrest (F3) and giving false info to LEO (F3)
• Ramiro Cinto Lopez, 25, charged with resisting arrest (F3), giving false info to LEO (F3), and possession of altered firearm (F3)

“All of these suspects are facing serious felonies, and ICE has placed holds on them as well to hopefully deport them back to Guatemala,” Sheriff Grady Judd said. “What started out as a neighborhood party ended up with a 21-year-old man dead and a group of illegal aliens going to jail.”
