Birmingham police investigating domestic homicide on 4th Court West

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Birmingham police are investigating an overnight homicide on 4th Court West.

BPD confirms officers were called out to a home being broken into and a person shot around 11:50 p.m. Tuesday. Officers arrived to discover an adult man shot to death at the scene.

A preliminary investigation showed the man arrived at the home of a former friend and a fight occurred with another man who was already at the house. During the fight, shots were fired and the man who arrived at the home was killed. The other man involved in the shooting remained on scene and is being held for questioning.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 33-year-old Tedarius Montez Seawright.
