This month, though, we’re going with a theme; so instead of the nine best movies on the platform, we’re bringing you eight must watch movies and one must watch TV show (all over 90% on Rotten Tomatoes) that you’ll want to add to your Pride Month watchlist immediately.

   What Is It About? When renowned crime novelist Harlan Thrombey dies just after his 85th birthday, the debonair Detective Benoit Blanc arrives at his estate to investigate. From Harlan’s wildly dysfunctional family to his staff, Blanc sifts through a web of red herrings and self-serving lies to uncover the truth behind Thrombey’s death.

   Cast: Michael Fassbender, Cate Blanchett, Marisa Abela

   What Is It About? When intelligence agent Kathryn is among a group of spies suspected of betraying MI5 and the nation, her husband George, also a spy, faces the ultimate test: loyalty to his marriage or his country.

   Director: Ryan Coogler

   Cast: Michael B. Jordan, Sylvester Stallone, Tessa Thompson

   What Is It About? Adonis Johnson (Jordan) never knew his famous father, boxing champion Apollo Creed, who died before Adonis was born. However, boxing is in his blood, so he seeks out Rocky Balboa (Stallone) and asks the retired champ to be his trainer. Rocky sees much of Apollo in Adonis, and agrees to mentor him, even as he battles an opponent deadlier than any in the ring.

   Director: Steven Spielberg

   Cast: Tom Hanks, Edward Burns, Tom Sizemore

   What Is It About? Captain John Miller (Tom Hanks) takes his men behind enemy lines during World War II to find Private James Ryan (Matt Damon), whose three brothers have been killed in combat, and bring him home safely.

   Director: Terry Gilliam

   Cast: Graham Chapman, Gilliam, John Cleese, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, and Michael Palin

   What Is It About? This “cult classic” comedy from the Monty Python team loosely follows the legend of King Arthur (Graham Chapman), along with his squire (Terry Gilliam) and his Knights of the Round Table (John Cleese, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin), as they embark on a fearless quest in search of the elusive Holy Grail.

   Director: Martin Scorsese

   Cast: Robert De Niro, Cathy Moriarty, Joe Pesci

   What Is It About? The story of a middleweight boxer, Jake LaMotta, as he rises through ranks to earn his first shot at the middleweight crown. He falls in love and the inability to express his feelings enters into the ring, taking over his life. He eventually is sent into a downward spiral that costs him everything.

   Cast: John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson, Uma Thurman

   What Is It About? Quentin Tarantino’s non-linear crime masterpiece takes elements from other films on this list and spins them into something totally new. Samuel L. Jackson and John Travolta star as Jules Winnfield and Vincent Vega, hitmen partners tasked with retrieving a briefcase for their boss

   Director: John Greengrass

   Cast: Matt Damon, Julia Stiles, Joan Allen

   What Is It About? In the third film of the season, Jason Bourne must doge a relentless CIA official and his cohorts while trying to discover the origins of his own life as a trained killer. With a million and one people on his tail who want him dead before he discovers the truth, the stakes are higher than ever.

   Director: Alfonso Cuarón

   Cast: Clive Owen, Julianne Moore, Michael Caine

   What Is It About? In the near future (2027, to be exact), widespread infertility has ravaged society to the point that the U.K. has one of the only functional governments in the world. When a woman mysteriously becomes pregnant, a civil servant is tasked with helping her escape, but his job becomes complicated when the police learn of the pregnancy and push to handle the matter themselves.
